Miguel Cabrera is very sad about Prince Fielder leaving

The general consensus around baseball seems to be that the Tigers made a smart move to part ways with Prince Fielder's massive contract and improve defensively by acquiring Ian Kinsler in Wednesday's trade. But Miguel Cabrera is not the general consensus around baseball.

The AL MVP took to Twitter to unleash a flurry of tweets and retweets celebrating the two years he spent playing alongside his "mejor amigo." It's devastating.

It's sometimes easy to forget there's a real, human element to baseball transactions. And players know that the threat of getting traded is just one of the trade-offs they make to be paid huge bucks to play baseball for a living. But that doesn't mean it feels good for the guys sent packing or the friends they leave behind.

All of these were retweeted by Cabrera's account:

Someone please give Miguel Cabrera a Prince Fielder-sized hug.
