“I Am Focusing On…” Anand Mahindra’s Reply To Critic Calling Out His Re-Shared Video
In the video, the content creator took the specially-abled man on a ride in his Porsche and even clicked pictures of him in front of his car.

If you follow Anand Mahindra on social media, you will know that he is more than a business tycoon. His posts on X (formerly Twitter) come with a positive message and thought-provoking stories that inspire and motivate many. However recently, one such upload, by the industrialist, whipped up an online debate with naysayers claiming that the video he shared was “scripted". But Anand Mahindra took the criticism in his stride asking the critics to focus on the deeper meaning rather than what was apparent.
The video in discussion was posted by content creator Seenu Malik as part of his “365 Good Day Challenge" in August last year. The clip showed a specially abled man clicking selfies in front of Seenu’s parked Porsche. When Seenu called him out, the man tried to flee, visibly scared that the owner might be angry at his actions. But Seenu not only reassured the man but also took pictures of him with the luxury car. After that, Seenu offered the man a ride in his vehicle, displaying kindness and compassion.

Moved by the heartwarming video, Anand Mahindra re-shared the clip on his X account. He wrote, “First, thank you to the car’s owner for his generosity of spirit and empathy. And I have to say, as a car manufacturer, it is good to be reminded of the uninhibited joy and delight cars can provide to people."
This video is, I believe, over a year old.I saw it only recently and couldn’t help being greatly moved.

Anand Mahindra added, “That is how I hope our designers and engineers at Mahindra—both current and future—will always approach the creative process: by keeping in mind that cars are more than just devices of transportation. When designed with passion, they can deliver joy to all who experience them."
While many users lauded the content creator’s gesture, a few pointed out that the video was probably staged. One of the critics said, “Scripted, sir". To this, Anand Mahindra’s apt reply was, “Perhaps. But I am focusing on the message, not the motive. We all know there is enough content out there on social media where neither the motive nor the message is fit for consumption."
