And in CNN news, Trapper asked Cortez how she intended to pay for her $40 TRILLION remake of American society, and her answer was ......

In other words, she couldn't explain how she would pay for her program. Because there is no way to pay for them.

And as an aside, the same applies to Sanders $18 TRILLION cost to remake America in his image; Sanders has no plan to pay for it either, other than, you know, tax the rich. Which, if we confiscated every damn dime the top 10% of wealthy in this country had, it wouldn't begin to pay the interest on Cortez's debt.​

Now, as I have pointed out before, there is broad popular support for what Alexandria and Bernie advocate, especially Medicare for all, free college, and making the rich pay for it.

Republicans like to increase government spending too, but they do not explain how to pay for it, but with the dishonest assertion, that has been disproved by the administrations or Reagan and George the Lesser, that tax cuts for the rich generate so much economic growth that they pay off the national debt.

Trump is even more deluded than Reagan and George the Lesser. He told Bob Woodward that he would pay off the national debt by better trade deals.

Because better trade deals will not pay off the national debt by the end of 2024 I would like to know how Trump intends to pay for his stupid wall (wasn't Mexico supposed to pay for it?) his equally stupid Space Force, and the dangerous arms race he is provoking with Russia and China.

 

You understand that the entire GDP of the US is $19 TRILLION?
Cortez would take over 20% of our GDP EACH YEAR to fund he programs.

The first billboard reads, “Hey AOC, the Green New Deal stinks,” with the second billboard reading “Maybe it’s those farting cows? LOL.”



The second billboard also addresses the high estimated cost of the plan, which ranges from $51 to $93 trillion. “Cost of GND= $51,000,000,000, 000 (wow that’s a lot of zeroes)” the sign states.

"But the woman who boasts of a “razor-sharp BS detector” seems to have trouble sniffing out her own,” the New York Post reported. “Since declaring her candidacy in May 2017, Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign heavily relied on those combustible-engine cars — even though a subway station was just 138 feet from her Elmhurst [Queens] campaign office. She listed 1,049 transactions for Uber, Lyft, Juno and other car services, federal filings show. The campaign had 505 Uber expenses alone.”

Cortez responded on Twitter, arguing that "living in the world as it is isn't an argument against working towards a better future."

“I also fly & use A/C," Ocasio-Cortez wrote. “The Green New Deal is about putting a LOT of people to work in developing new technologies, building new infrastructure, and getting us to 100% renewable energy.”

The Green New Deal is an economic stimulus package designed to address income inequality, health care and climate change. The concept – modeled after President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s New Deal package through public works programs – could be funded through a 70 percent tax on America’s top earners.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has launched a blistering twitter tirade attacking ICE, labeling the agency “dangerous”.

The freshman Democrat, who has previously vowed to defund Immigrations and Customs Enforcement and see it abolished, made the comments in the wake of a party vote supporting a GOP amendment requiring “undocumented immigrants who try to buy guns be reported to ICE,” according to reports.

“I was upset that 26 Dems forced the other 200+ to vote for a pro-ICE provision at the last min without warning. Because I think an agency that pins children down + forcibly injects them w/ antipsychotic drugs shouldn’t be given more power,” AOC’s first tweet read.

“ICE is a dangerous agency with 0 accountability, widespread reporting of rape, abuse of power, + children dying in DHS custody. Having a D next to your name doesn’t make that right.”

She then took aim at colleagues in her own party, saying: “Mind you, the same small splinter group of Dems that tried to deny Pelosi the speakership, fund the wall during the shutdown when the public didn’t want it, & are now voting in surprise ICE amendments to gun safety legislation are being called the “moderate wing” of the party.”

The comments came after Ocasio-Cortez made a speech against immigration laws and promised to abolish ICE.
